THE WALL WHISPERER
I always knew I had the 'spongy floor' gift. Meaning, I could just tell, sense, feel (in the 'someone is in the house kind of way) if a floor was off. Don't know, just lucky I guess.
And so, when we bought our new/old house, I figured my 'spongy floor' gift was going to be called upon, because when we first walked through, I was picking up 'soft floor' tingles pretty much constantly.
Turns out, Michael has a similar, but different 'gift'.
He's a Wall Whisperer.
He can tell if a wall is off by as little 1/2 inch.
Below is a picture of the Wall Whisperer at work. He is listening to the exterior wall in the attic tell him that it's been leaking for at least 20 years. I don't know how he knows what he knows, but there you go.
Me, I don't need to use a divining rode or anything. Usually just some bare feet and some jumping on the offending floor joist will tell me if there's something afoot (A HA HA HA HAHhhhaaa.... okay, not really that funny). So, when we finally figured out that we needed to start in the upstairs bedroom - this was us at work. The Wall Whisperer in the attic, and the Spongy Floor Feeler on the... right.
And then this happened.....
